Joint Research Centre
The Joint Research Centre is the European Commission’s science and knowledge service, carrying out research and providing independent scientific advice in support of EU policies. Its work has a direct impact on the lives of European citizens through its research on societal challenges such as creating a healthy and safe environment, secure energy supplies or sustainable mobility. The JRC has six sites in five EU countries (Brussels, Geel, Ispra, Karlsruhe, Petten, Seville). The JRC coordinates the European Reference Network for Critical Infrastructure Protection (ERNCIP) which has been established to improve the protection of critical infrastructures in the EU. The ERNCIP therefore works in close cooperation with all types of CIP stakeholders, focusing particularly on the technical protective security solutions.
ETSI was contacted and will be invited to participate as member of the STAIR4SECURITY platform to ensure link with security research projects having an ICT dimension.
